Vegan fried oyster made from tofu and tartar sauce
So called fried oyster made from tofu. dried green seaweed (Aonori) expresses the scent of the shore.
ECO point
You can use the same oil 4 to 5 times. The potato skin has a deodorant effect, and when fried, it deodorizes the scent. But if it’s been over 2 weeks, it’s bad for your health. When throwing it away,Soak the oil in newspaper and throw it away so that it does not flow into the sink! A powder that can easily harden oil is sold in Japan for about $ 1. If you throw it in the sink, it will affect the environment like sea, river, nature, living thing etc…
Ingredients(For 4 – 5)
- Tofu 150g
- Maitake mushroom 40g
- Vegetable broth (powder) 2-3g
- Appropriate amount of flour
- Appropriate amount of water
- Bread crumbs (Panko) appropriate amount
- A little salt
- Appropriate amount of dried green seaweed(Aonori)
How to make
- Drain the tofu for about an hour.
- Roughly finely chop Maitake mushrooms, mix with drained tofu, and season with salt.
- Dissolve the flour in water. If it’s too smooth, the bread crumbs won’t stick to it, so it’s a little sticky.
- Mix the bread crumbs and dried green seaweed(Aonori).
- Shape it into sand bag shape and coat with flour and bread crumbs.
- Grill it in thin layer of oil. (You can also deep-fry it, but please check the Point)
Tartar sauce - Finely chop 1-2 pickles into vegan mayonnaise and add a little sugar if it’s sour.
Point
- When frying in oil, I recommend not to add flour as it may explode. (Tofu has a lot of water, so if you coat it with flour, the water will not come out and it will burst.)
- Please note that the oil will fly when the water comes out when grilling.
- When grilling, it tends to lose its shape, so please handle it gently.
